What the model leaves out
Credit costs (https://www.imgix.com/pricing-faq): 2 credits per GB of cached originals per month (0.001 per original at 500 KB), 1 credit per 500 standard renders, 1 credit per GB delivered, all from one bundle; extra credits are billed at the bundle’s per-credit price. The cached-originals storage is assumed to hold all your originals; only those fetched recently may count. Annual bundles are 15% cheaper. AI features cost far more credits.
- No free plan: a 30-day trial with 100 credits.
- Usage beyond 100% of your credits is billed as overage, with alerts at 125%, 150%, 200%, 250% and 300%.
- Unused credits are forfeited at the end of the period; annual bundles (15% cheaper) refresh credits once a year, not monthly.
- AI features cost far more: advanced renders 1 credit per 50, background removal and similar 1 credit each, AI image edits 2–10 credits per request.
